The Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC) is NASA's center for human spaceflight in Houston, Texas. Dr. J.O.R Byabashaija, also known as Johnson Omuhunde Rwashote Byabashaija, is a prominent Ugandan Canon and Veterinary doctor, serving as the Commissioner General of Prisons in Uganda since 2005. Born on September 27, 1957, in Kajumiro village, Rukungiri District, Byabashaija is the first-born of seven children. He pursued his education at various institutions, including Makerere University Veterinary School and the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom, where he obtained a Master of Science degree. Byabashaija's career in the Uganda Prisons Service spans several decades, during which he held various positions before becoming the Commissioner General.In 2017, Byabashaija was honored with the JLOS Distinguished Service Award for his notable contributions. Additionally, he is involved in poultry breeding on his farm, Jena Farms, in Kigo, Entebbe.
