The founder, Satya Paul, passed away in Coimbatore on January 6, 2021. The Satya Paul product line includes women's designer wear such as saris, kurtas, handbags, clutches, and scarves, as well as men's accessories like neckties, belts, wallets, pocket squares, and cufflinks.Moreover, Satya Paul has engaged in design collaborations for various causes. Satya Churn Law (1888 – 11 December 1984) was a prominent naturalist, ornithologist, and intellectual based in Calcutta. Born to Ambikacharan Laha and Kiranbala Devi, Law pursued his education at Metropolitan College and Presidency College, where he obtained a master's degree in history and later a law degree. His passion for birds led him to establish an aviary at his residence in Agarpada near Calcutta in 1926. Law was recognized for his contributions to the field of ornithology and was elected as a Fellow of the Zoological Society of London and a Member of the British Ornithologists' Union. His interest in natural science led him to found the journal "Prakriti" in Bengali in 1924, aimed at popularizing the subject. In addition to his scholarly pursuits, Law also served as a council member in the Calcutta corporation and as a sheriff. His literary assistant, Nirad C. Chaudhuri, worked closely with him from 1937 to 1942. Law's legacy includes several published works, such as "Pet Birds of Bengal" (1923), reflecting his expertise in aviaries. He was also involved in the management of the Calcutta Zoological Garden and held the position of vice president for a period. Law's multifaceted contributions to natural science and ornithology have left a lasting impact on the field.
