Christopher Cross is the son of a U.S. Army pediatrician who served at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C., during the mid-1950s. Cross grew up as an "army brat" and attended Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio, Texas, graduating in 1969.
