Benjamin Dabbs
Benjamin Edwin Dabbs was a notable English footballer born on 17 April 1909 in Oakengates, Shropshire. He played as a full-back defender, starting his career at Oakengates Town in 1926 before joining Liverpool in 1932. Dabbs made a modest impact at Liverpool, with 45 appearances in two standout seasons, but eventually transferred to Watford in 1938. His career was interrupted by World War II, with his last recorded play in the 1939–40 Southern League. Post-retirement, Dabbs served as a team coach for Rickmansworth Town during the 1949-50 season.
