Henry Denne (c. 1606–1660) was a prominent Baptist minister and religious controversialist in England, transitioning from his initial role as a clergyman in the Church of England. Educated at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, Denne became known for his critical sermons and works such as "The Doctrine and Conversation of John Baptist" (1642) and "The Foundation of Children's Baptism discovered and rased" (1645). His outspoken opposition to infant baptism led to multiple imprisonments. Denne was a key figure in the Baptist church, advocating for Arminian tenets and engaging in public disputations, like the notable debate with Peter Gunning in 1658.

Henry Denne was the son of David Denne of Kent and was educated under the guidance of his uncle, Thomas Denne, at Latton, Essex.

Wayne Denne, born on March 5, 1976, in Cape Town, Western Cape, is a notable South African field hockey player. Recognized for his role as a midfielder, Denne made his international debut in 1995 against Australia at the Indra Gandhi Gold Cup in India. He also served as Captain of the East Kent and Cinque Ports Yeomanry and was Bailiff of the town Corporation 23 times, showcasing his leadership and dedication to public service.
