In addition to his professional achievements, George and his wife Dolores "Lolie" Doré Eccles established the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation in 1960, contributing significantly to philanthropic efforts. Transitioning from acting, Eccles successfully ventured into television production, serving as the executive producer of the TV show "Flip My Food."

Catherine Eccles is a prominent British Labour Party politician elected as the Member of Parliament for Stourbridge in 2024. Previously, she served as a councillor for the Wollaston and Stourbridge Town ward on Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council from 2022.
