He played for the Birmingham Bulls in the World Hockey Association and the Quebec Nordiques and Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL. Goulet was a two-time Canada Cup champion with Team Canada and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1998. He achieved an impressive 50 goals in four consecutive NHL seasons during the 1980s and later contributed to the Colorado Avalanche's Stanley Cup victories in 1996 and 2001 as director of player personnel. She also had two half-brothers, Christopher and Michael, from her father's subsequent marriage to singer-actress Carol Lawrence. Her debut feature film, "Night Raiders," premiered in 2021 and became the largest Indigenous-led Canadian film in terms of production budget. Goulet has directed numerous acclaimed films, including "Spin," "Divided by Zero," and "Wapawekka." Danis Goulet hails from La Ronge, Saskatchewan. Her family background is deeply rooted in Indigenous culture, with her Nehinuw (Cree) father, Keith, being a fluent Nehinuwehin speaker from the Cree community of Cumberland House. Her non-Indigenous mother worked in the education department of First Nations University, which influenced Goulet’s early exposure to Indigenous narratives and storytelling.
