Johann Ludwig Krebs (1713-1780) was a renowned German Baroque musician and composer, celebrated for his exceptional organ skills and complex counterpoint, comparable to Johann Sebastian Bach's. Despite struggling to secure patronage or significant positions due to the rising popularity of the galant style, Krebs composed a significant body of work, including chamber music, choral works, and concertos. His most notable pieces include the Fantasia in F minor for oboe and organ, and two large-scale concertos for lute and orchestra. Krebs's works remained largely unpublished until the 1900s, highlighting his enduring influence on classical music.

Born in Buttelstedt, Johann Ludwig Krebs was the son of Johann Tobias Krebs, an organist who also studied under Johann Sebastian Bach. The Krebs family was musically gifted, with at least three of Johann Ludwig's brothers exhibiting musical talent. His three sons continued the family tradition, becoming well-known performers, with one gaining recognition as a Lieder composer.

Poul Krebs, born on May 28, 1956, in Aarhus, Denmark, is a renowned Danish pop/rock singer, songwriter, and musician. With a prolific career, he has released 23 albums and compilations, many reaching the top of the Danish Albums Chart. Known for his breakthrough album "Små Sensationer" featuring the hit "Sådan nogle som os," Krebs has made a significant impact on the music scene. Collaborating with notable artists like Steffen Brandt and Michael Falch as De Tre Tenorer, he also co-founded the record label Krebs Falch. Internationally recognized, he tours extensively and participates in charity concerts, supporting causes like the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation and the Danish Refugee Council.
