Ona Munson, born Owena Elizabeth Wolcott, was a prominent American film and stage actress known for her role as Belle Watling in "Gone with the Wind" (1939). Munson's career spanned over 30 years, during which she appeared in nine Broadway productions and 20 feature films. Her notable works include "The Hot Heiress" (1931), and "The Shanghai Gesture" (1941). Despite being typecast post-"Gone with the Wind," Munson's versatility shone in both Broadway and Hollywood. Munson was born on June 16, 1903, in Portland, Oregon, to Owen and Sally Wolcott. She was the sole surviving child of four, with her paternal grandmother having immigrated from Quebec in 1865. Raised in Portland, Munson attended the prestigious Catlin Gabel School, developing a passion for English literature. Her parents divorced in the 1920s, after which her father remarried.

John Munson, born December 13, 1966, is a celebrated American musician renowned for his role as the bassist in the band Semisonic, famous for their hit "Closing Time." Before Semisonic, Munson was part of Trip Shakespeare, where he joined in 1985. Over the years, Munson has collaborated with various artists and bands, including The Flops and The Twilight Hours with Matt Wilson, and The New Standards with Chan Poling and Steve Roehm. Munson also imparts his expertise as a Sound For Image instructor at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. His recent endeavors include producing albums and collaborations, notably with Dylan Hicks in 2020, earning critical acclaim from the Star Tribune.
