Maddie Musselman, born on June 16, 1998, is a celebrated American water polo player and a three-time Olympian who has competed in Paris, Tokyo, and Rio. She is renowned for her impressive achievements, including being named the MVP at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after Team USA's gold medal win, where she was a top scorer with 18 goals. Musselman has consistently excelled in her career, earning MVP titles at major international tournaments like the FINA World League Super Final and the FINA World Championships. During her collegiate career at UCLA, she was a four-time First-Team All-American and ended with a record 252 goals.

Musselman is the daughter of former Major League Baseball pitcher Jeff Musselman. In 2023, she married Patrick Woepse, a UCLA Water Polo alumnus and open water swimmer, in a private ceremony.

Jeffrey Joseph Musselman, born June 21, 1963, is a former Major League Baseball pitcher best known for his time with the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Mets from 1986 to 1990. A Harvard graduate, Musselman was drafted by the Blue Jays in 1985 and shone in the 1987 season, achieving a 12–5 record. His transition to the New York Mets in 1989 came through a trade for Mookie Wilson, and he maintained solid performance with a 3.08 ERA. Post-retirement, he continued in baseball as a vice-president with sports agent Scott Boras.

Musselman is a family man with three daughters, including Maddie Musselman, an accomplished water polo player and Olympian gold medalist.
