Maudie Prickett, born Maudie Marie Doyle on October 25, 1914, in Portland, Oregon, was a prolific American character actress known for her versatility in over 300 stage, film, and television productions. Her career highlights include playing memorable roles such as Elvira in "Harvey" (1950), Elsie in Alfred Hitchcock's "North by Northwest" (1959), and various characters on popular TV shows like "The Andy Griffith Show," "Hazel," and "Bewitched." Prickett's portrayal of nosy neighbors, aunts, maids, and secretaries made her a familiar face to audiences over nearly four decades.

Maudie Prickett's personal life included three marriages, with her first husband, Charles Fillmore Prickett II, co-founder of the Pasadena Playhouse, with whom she had two children. Her family included her son, Charles Fillmore Prickett III, an orthopedic surgeon, and a daughter, Mrs. Charie Laugharn. She was later married to Dr. Eakle W. Cartwright and Cyril Bernard Cooper, former mayor of Pasadena. Prickett passed away in 1976 and is interred at Mountain View Cemetery in Altadena, California.

Air Chief Marshal Sir Thomas Öther Prickett (1913–2010) was a distinguished Royal Air Force officer known for his significant contributions during and after the Second World War. He flew Wellington bombers with No. 148 Squadron and Lancaster bombers with No. 103 Squadron, earning the Distinguished Service Order for a successful raid on the Peenemünde Army Research Center. Rising to senior ranks, he held several key positions, including Chief of Staff for Operation Musketeer during the Suez Crisis, Assistant Chief of the Air Staff, and Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Transport Command. Prickett was knighted KCB in 1965 for his exemplary service.

In 1942, Prickett married Betty, an American, with whom he had a son and a daughter. After Betty's passing, he married Shirley Westerman in 1985, who passed away in 2023.

Henry Elliott Prickett was a distinguished American politician and jurist, notably serving as the mayor of Boise, Idaho Territory from 1867 to 1868 and as Associate Justice of the Idaho Territorial Supreme Court from 1876 to 1884. Born in England, Prickett moved to the United States and made significant contributions in both Wisconsin and Idaho's legal and political spheres. His career highlights include election to the Wisconsin State Assembly and two nominations by Presidents Grant and Hayes to the Idaho Territorial Supreme Court.
