Frank Earle Schoonover (1877-1972) was a prominent American illustrator associated with the Brandywine School, known for his significant contributions during the "Golden Age of Illustration." Schoonover illustrated a diverse array of stories, including Edgar Rice Burroughs's "A Princess of Mars" and Clarence Mulford's Hopalong Cassidy tales. He also collaborated on a series of paintings depicting American forces in World War I, published as souvenir prints in the Ladies Home Journal. Schoonover created over 5,000 paintings throughout his career, influenced by his travels and interactions. Additionally, he played a crucial role in establishing the Delaware Art Museum and was recognized as the “Dean of Delaware Artists” for his contributions and legacy in the field.

Terrance Lynn Schoonover, born on December 26, 1951, was a notable American stock car racing driver who competed in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series. Beginning his racing career at sixteen with drag racing and later transitioning to dirt tracks in Florida, Schoonover made his mark in the racing community. A graduate of the Buck Baker Driving School, he served as a driving instructor before embarking on a NASCAR career. He partnered with Restore Auto Care Products for a limited 1984 NASCAR campaign and planned a full-time 1985 series. Schoonover tragically passed away following a crash during the 1984 race at Atlanta International Raceway, marking the track's first fatality.

Born in Anamosa, Iowa, and educated at the University of Wisconsin, Schoonover initially worked in advertising before dedicating himself to writing. His acclaimed novels, such as "The Burnished Blade" and "The Spider King," are renowned for their historical accuracy and engaging narratives. Schoonover's works often explore significant historical events, including the siege of Constantinople and the Reconquista, offering readers a vivid portrayal of past eras.

Wear Kibler Schoonover was a prominent American college football player, born on March 18, 1910, and known for his significant contributions to the sport. Notably, he was the first Arkansas Razorback and the first player from the Southwestern football conference to be named to the All-American team. His exceptional skills on the field led to his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1967. Additionally, Schoonover was among the first five inductees into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame and showcased his talents in the 1930 film "Maybe It's Love," alongside ten other All-American football players.
