Xavier Ladel Scruggs, born on September 23, 1987, is a former professional baseball first baseman known for his time in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins, and in the KBO League with the NC Dinos. He achieved notable success in the KBO League, hitting 61 home runs and driving in 208 runs over two seasons. Post-retirement, Scruggs has become a prominent figure in baseball media, serving as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant for the Cardinals, and covering MLB for ESPN and the Little League World Series. He is also a panelist on the MLB Network show Off Base.
