From the modest beginning of 1 delivery van, they increased to 70 delivery vans and also returned to the practice of having bread shops to retail the bread and allied products. Two city shops commenced in the 1960's trading in bakery products only, until the business was acquired by an interstate group in 1970. Alexander's 3 children - Wilfred, Lloyd and Doris, had carried on with their father the bakery at Forestville from 1919 to 1970
