Record Source: the Arbitration Committee of the Durham Miners' Association discussed his claim for full compensation - he had been paid for half the period covering 4th July - 5th August 1921, having obtained work as a Labourer at Alnwick - he ceased this work on 7th February 1922, and claimed to be paid full compensation. The case was referred to an Official Medical Referee.

"The said Alfred GOUNDRY is suffering from some small enlarged glands in the right groin, and his condition is such that he is partially incapacitated for work as a Hewer. He is not incapacitated for any other kind of work either partially or wholly. 2. The incapacity of the said Alfred GOUNDRY is due to the accident on February 11th, 1919.
