    Jan 9 Avery E Davis, brother of Major AW Davis of this city committed suicide yesterday at his home near Shelby, in a fit of dementia, by cutting his troat with a razor. He was for many years a resident of Norwalk. His death is attributed to a severe sun stroke which he suffered last summer. Before his death he said he committed the deed on the spur of the moment while he was shaving.
