Both James and Bridget state they were born in Ireland. All the children were born in Workington. The children are James 13, John 11, Sarah Ann 9, Fanny 5, Catherine 3 and William Hugh is just a year old. All the children except for William are at school. There is no mention of David (Daniel).

These are a 18 year old son David, 16 year old daughter Fany, 14 year old Catherine Ellen (Helena) and the youngest child, William Hugh who is just 12.
