Record Source: He bequeathed to his wife the rents from his share of a house in the Horse Market, Darlington, also the interest on a £100 loan to the Methodist Connexion's St. George's Chapel in Middlesex, as well as the dividends from £433-12s-7d. invested in Consols. He directed that on the death of Christopher BULMER of Fleshmarket that his wife, and his sister Ann FAIRLAM of Ryton, take all lawful means to recover his share of an investment of 1200 3pc Consols held jointly with Christopher BULMER & Jas. BRANSTON, the proceeds to be divided between his wife and his sister Ann FAIRLAM. On the death of Christopher BULMER five houses at Appleton Wisk which had been gifted to him were to be sold, and the proceeds invested, the income to be given to his wife. She was also to receive the interest on a reversion which was to be payable on the death of the survivor of Christopher Bulmer CARTER and Christopher BULMER, left in Richard CARTER's Will. He died before his wife had made her Will.
