    AMITE-Claude Thompson, 87, a native of Indianapolis and resident of Amite, died Tuesday, July 21, 1987 in Hood Memorial Hospital, Amite. Visitation will be at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, tonight from 6 to 9 and tomorrow from 8 until the 10 a.m. funeral conducted by the Rev. Tommy Hicks.
    He is survived by a daughter, Shirley A. Thompson Wright, Amite; a son, Robert Thompson, Garden Grove, Calif.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
