    Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Oct 15, 1984 from the Arnold First Baptist Church for Mrs Edna Hagler, 88, who passed away on Thursday, Oct 11, 1984 at Broken Bow, Ne.

    Rev. Victor Karg Officiated at the services. The music was furnished by Mrs Wes Larreau and Mrs Ed Johnson. Pallbearers were; Ed Ceterding, Bob watsonrDon Peterson,Art Schaaff, Rod Knapp and Don Flint. Interment was in the Arnold Cemetery with the Arnold Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Edna Ida Lee was born on Jan24, 1896 at Corning, Iowa to Arthur and Dora Ellen Lee, one of ten children. During her childhood the family lived in Colorado, Missouri, Canada, Oregon and Nebraska. For her secondary education, Edna attended Wayne Normal School at wayne, Ne. and after graduation taught school for seven years.

    On Oct 24, 1923, Edna was married To Lee Hagler At Burke, South Dakota. They lived in South Dakota and Holt and Knox Counties in Nebraska until 1929, when they moved to Arnold. Except for ten years spent in Colorado, sbe has been an Arnold resident since that time until she moved to Sandhills Manor Rest Home at Broken Bow in March of 1983. Lee passed away in August of 1973, just two months before their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

    Edna was a member of the Wee Wan Chu Extension Club and the Come Join Us Club and attended the Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending.

    Lee and, Edna had six children, all of whom survive her; three sons, Raymond of Otis, Colo, Duane of North Platte; and Keith of Scottsdale, Ariz; and three daughters, Lois Green of Thedford, Darlene Rimpley of Arnold, and Carol Ball of Norfolk, Va. Also surviving are two sisters; Bess Shirk of Kelso, Wash. and Dorothy Anderson of Atkinson , 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee; five brothers, one sister, two grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
