Record Source: Elijah Comstock was a merchant, shipbuilder and farmer, and was a manof prom inence and wealth in the community. He left a number of journals from which many of the facts concerning his family have been gleaned.He also added ent ries to the Selden-Comstock Bible, which came down to descendants through his son Frederick William. He was a deacon inthe Hadlyme Society from May 1833 , to 1846.
