Record Source: Chr note, She was christened at Saint Margaret's Church, in Westminster Square. Although Saint Margaret's is the 'parish church' of the House of Commons, it remains overshadowed by Westminster Abbey. The church was founded in the 12th century to serve the lay people of the monastery and was run in tandem with Westminster Abbey for centuries. Saint Margaret's was rebuilt in 1486 - 1523 and became the church of the House of Commons in 1614. The 17th century Puritans, who disliked the ceremonial Westminster Abbey, thought Saint Margaret's more suitable for worship. There have been parliamentary services within its walls ever since.

Record Source: Burial note, She was buried in the churchyard of Saint Botolph without Aldersgate. Saint Botolph is the English patron saint of travellers and this is one of three churches in the City of London to bear his name. The famous writer Daniel Defoe was married Here In 1683. During some of his writings about the Great Plague he describes how the church was filled with over 5,000 victims in what was known as a 'Plague Pit'. There has been a church on the site since the early 14th Century. The present plain, brick building was designed in 1744 by George Dance and the galleried interior is notable for the original but rather strange ceiling lined with angels, created by John Francis Bentley.
