    Record Source: a Deputy at Easington Colliery, he gave evidence at an inquest at Sunderland Royal Infirmary into the death of a 15-year old boy who was killed when he fell from a set of tubs. The boy had finished his shift and with another boy jumped on the tubs for a ride, which was prohibited. The tubs came to a red light, and the boys jumped off, but one of them slipped and fell. GOUNDRY gave evidence that he saw the boy lying on the travelling way, and with another man they bandaged him up. He was taken to hospital, but died later. Verdict - Accidental Death.
