    Mrs. Georgia Ana Gatlin, 82 homemaker and member of a pioneer South Mississippi Family, and lifelong resident of Jones County with residence at Route 2, Heidelberg, died Friday night in a local hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Gatlin was the daughter of the late George Williams and Mary Jane Gatlin Williams.

    She was the widow of Vince Gatlin who died in 1940 and her sons head lumber interests in Jones and Wayne Counties. Mrs. Gatlin was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, a devoted mother and homemaker.

    Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home Sunday 2:30 p.m. Conducting the service will be Rev. T. R. McKibbens, Rev. Guy Reedy and Rev. Michael Thornton, her pastor.

    Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons. Members of Bethel Church and the Laurel Shrine Club are honorary pallbearers.

    Ms. Gatlin leaves nine sons, Eugene Gatlin, Starkville, W. A. (Andrew) Gatlin, E. L. (Eddie Lee) Gatlin, Jordan Gatlin and Webber Gatlin, all of Route 2 Heidelberg, Julius Gatlin and Mulfred Gatlin, Waynesboro, Harry Gatlin Laurel and Winfred Gatlin Route 1 Taylorsville; three daughters, Mrs. Clovis (Mary Hattie) Howse, Route 6 Laurel, Mrs. Ellis B. (Lillie Brooks)Harrington, Rote 2, Laurel, and Mrs. W. J. (Lula Oree) Lightsey, Route 3, Laurel, one brother A. Q. Williams, Route 2 Heidelberg.

    Thompson Funeral Home is in charge.
