    Harriet Elizabeth Hagler, aged 88 years, passed away at the home of her son C.F. Hagler, near Mott, North Dakota, Friday, February 26, 1937 form influenza due to old age. She was born in Iowa on June 7, 1848, where she spent her early childhood. She was united in marriage to George W. Hagler at Milton, Iowa. This union was blessed with nine children, two boys dying in infancy.

    Mrs. Hagler's husband preceded her in death 32 years ago. Children living are George, Tuthill, S.D.; C.F. Hagler, Mott,N.D.; Orpha Smedley, Tacoma,Wash.; Susie Geary, Belfield, N.D.; Cora Davis, Belfield,N.D.; who was spending the winter with her at the time of death. Mrs. Hagler has made her home with her daughter Cora Davis the last twelve years.

    Although an invalid the past twelve years, she always had a kindly work for those with whom she came in contact. A loving mother and a splendid neighbor, she made a host of friends throughout her lifetime. Funeral services were held from the C.F. Hagler home on Sunday afternoon and the body was shipped to Pocahontas, Iowa, where interment was made beside the body of her husband. Cora Davis and George Hagler accompained the body. Present at the funeral, from a distance included MR. and MRS. George Hagler and two daughters of Tuthill,S.D.; Arlo Geary of Fryburg, N.D.; Mrs.Haden and two children and George Davis of Belfield,N.D.


    ***There was another son John W. Hagler living at the time of Harriet's death.
