Durham County Record Office has a photograph of them captioned "The houses next to the Post Office, left of the Cenotaph, are called Goundry's Buildings". In 1920 his son Lorenzo died at Henry's Terrace, Byers Green, which was probably built by, and named after, Henry GOUNDRY. The 1911 Census lists seven dwellings at that address, each consisting of either two or three rooms. The street name Henry (or Henry's) Terrace still existed in 2019, and consisted of a much-altered detached house (which looks as though it may originally have been converted from three or more small buildings) and two other detached modern dwellings.
