    "In the Name of God Amen I John NEWCOMB of Heighington in the County of Durham being of sound and perfect mind and memory do make this my last Will and Testament in form and manner following - that is to say -
    First I give, devise and bequeath to my youngest daughter Ann all the part and reversion which I have, hold and enjoy in my farm at Heighington jointly and separately with my son, Robert NEWCOMB under the free school of Darlington and also my Bay Galloway and my Brown Stagg about two years old, the Dunn Cow and the young grey Cow new Calved about two years old, my Black Flecked Stott and my Red Heifer unbulled, my Red Heifer about one year old and my black Calf, my Thirteen County Sheep and my Five Scotch or Moor Sheep. I also give and bequeath to my beloved wife my Feather Bed and Bedding in the Kitchen with the Bedstead and Curtains. I also give to my son Robert, One Shilling, to my son Thomas, One Shilling, to my daughter Mary BURDON, one shilling, to my daughter Elisabeth, One Shilling, and to my daughter Jane, One Shilling and to my son John, One Shilling, and I do hereby nominate and appoint John WATKIN of Heighington Trustee and Sole Executor of all my above mentioned Farm and premises and of the goods and chattells for the use of my said daughter Ann as above and of all the rest according to this my Last Will and Testament. In Witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Twenty Sixth day of April One Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Two.
