Record Source: According to Sons of the American Revolution application documents, John Stewart's date of death is 19 April 1777 during the battle of Germantown, PA. Since that battle occurred on 04 Oct 1777, that date of death is impossible! I have set his date of death as Oct. 1777 until I find a date that corroborates with that particular battle.
