Record Source: - he nominated his daughter Margaret as Sole Executor and bequeathed her his Closes and a House with garth, gardens, outbuildings and appurtenances at Winston, also his houses in the Strand and Soho, Westminster, London. He left her £100 of the £400 he had invested in a Toll Road from Gatherley Moor to Staindrop - (she only survived him by one month). The rest of the £400 was left to his grand-daughters Martha and Johanna BASS, children of his late daughter Elizabeth. His friends Ralph HODGSON and John DINSDALE were to be Trustees of £200 to provide for the maintenance and education of Martha and Johanna
