In an article taken from Winifreds Tree genealogy (Pam Leavitt) it states that Mrs. Tenney (Elizabeth Polmanteer Tenney) and her husband (M. H. Tenney) had no children, but was a mother to the children of her brother, Henry Polmanteer, who was left a widower with a family of children.
Father (Henry Polmanteer) passed away 19 Feb, 1898 in Naples, Ontario Co., NY, following surgery for intestinal obstruction (taken from Ontario Co. Times, Canandaigua, NY, Wed., Feb. 23, 1898).
The following is the complete article:
"Henry Polmanteer, a valued and respected citizen of Naples, died at his home in this village on Friday last, aged 47 years. He was taken ill about 2 months ago and physicians have been unable to agree uppon the nature of his complaint. However, last Sunday, Drs. Skinner of Geneva and Bell of Naples, performed an operation for intestinal obstruction as the only hope of saving his life, but the shock proved too severe. A post mortem examination was made on Saturday, and on Sunday the funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. A. Smith. The deceased is survived by four sons and three daughters."

In an article taken from Winifreds Tree genealogy (Pam Leavitt) it states that Mrs. Tenney (Elizabeth Polmanteer Tenney) and her husband (M. H. Tenney) had no children, but was a mother to the children of her brother, Henry Polmanteer, who was left a widower with a family of children.
Father (Henry Polmanteer) passed away 19 Feb, 1898 in Naples, Ontario Co., NY, following surgery for intestinal obstruction (taken from Ontario Co. Times, Canandaigua, NY, Wed., Feb. 23, 1898).
The following is the complete article:
"Henry Polmanteer, a valued and respected citizen of Naples, died at his home in this village on Friday last, aged 47 years. He was taken ill about 2 months ago and physicians have been unable to agree uppon the nature of his complaint. However, last Sunday, Drs. Skinner of Geneva and Bell of Naples, performed an operation for intestinal obstruction as the only hope of saving his life, but the shock proved too severe. A post mortem examination was made on Saturday, and on Sunday the funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. A. Smith. The deceased is survived by four sons and three daughters."
