She is survived by a daughter, Janice Lee Townson, Amite; son, Vernon Sweeney Jr., Amite; grandson, Rodney Keith Townson Jr., Amite; two sisters, Geneva Lee and Elaine Davis, both of Loranger; and a brother, James Lanier, Folsom. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Freddie Austin Kersh; second husband, Vernon Joseph Sweeney Sr.; infant baby Kersh; parents, John Henry Lanier and Bessie William Corkern; four brothers, Preston Lanier, David Lanier, Jack Lanier and Michael Lanier; and three sisters, Gladys Anthony, Genevieve Lanier and Frances Ann Lanier.
