GOUNDRY came on Monday without her lessons prepared as on several previous occasions. When spoken to on the subject she answered disrespectfully - no mention would have been made of this circumstance, had she not waited upon Mr. CALVERT with a false version of the matter. Having received a note from Mr. C. I asked him to attend before the teachers to have the matter explained. One child Magt. FARRON left the School. Father said she had been unkindly treated by her teacher M. A. GOUNDRY - but this was denied"

Record Source: - apart from some named items, she left Interest in all of her estate to her husband for his lifetime, with reversion to their son Ralph Herbert ALDER. A loan to her brother Lawrence was to be cancelled. £250 was left to her brother Joseph William GOUNDRY, failing him it was to go to his wife Ann Drayton GOUNDRY, or failing both, to the National Children's Orphanage, Highbury Park, London. £100 was bequeathed to her daughter-in-law Freda Margaret ALDER (nee FOWLES). Her mother's solitaire diamond wedding ring was left to her brother Joseph William, failing him, to his daughter Josephine. Her clothing and jewellery was to be divided between the wives and children of her brothers Lawrence Hebron and Joseph William, to be allocated by her son and his wife.
