Record Source: the Will of her grandfather Joseph BOOTH was probated - in it he left a close of grass land of four acres, comprising three allotments with a farmhouse, stable, blacksmith's shop, seven cottages with gardens and conveniences at Etherley Moor; also six cottages in Front Street, Byers Green opposite the Wesleyan Chapel for his Trustees to sell, the proceeds to be used to pay off his mortgage debts at Etherley Moor and a loan of £100 which he had taken out. The residue of the proceeds was to be shared equally between his daughter Mary ROBINSON, Ann BOOTH the widow of his son Thomas, Robert BOOTH the son of his eldest daughter Elizabeth, and the surviving children of his late son John on their attaining the age of 21 or marrying.
