We are looking for Jessie Hitt whose daughter Norma was taken in by Savannah Hitt and Feemster Wadsworth. Jessie's husband Oscar Lawley left Norma, saying he could not take care of her after Jessie's death in the 1920s.
We do not know who Jessie's parents are, nor her dates of birth and death, and wonder how she may have been related to Savannah. Norma believed Jessie is buried at Walkers Chapel Cemetery in Fultondale, AL but her son was not able to find a headstone there, and the church's old records burned.
Norma was born 11-13-1913 and died in 1997. She married Pelham Buford Sims And Had Several Children Of Her Own.
