Record Source: Walter & Olive lived in many places during their married Life. Starting out on a farm at Sandsmere, Victoria, then spent some years at Tailem Bend, SA before returning to Sandsmere. After a big operation, in Melbourne, Walter came to live at Enfield, SA and worked at the Gepps Cross abattoirs. After a few years he took up land at Netherton, SA . Around about 1937, Walter & Olive moved to Gawler, where Walter was in the butchering business with his son in law David Manuel. They were only here for 3 months and then moved to Parkside and finally Wellbourne Street, Mitcham, suburbs of Adelaide. Walter spent his later years with his daughter Maud at 6 Margaret Street, Evanston, SA.
