A memorial service for Orville L.Williams, 93, of Waynesboro, will be held Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, from Liberty Baptist Church, with the Rev. Phillip Gandy officiating. Born Nov. 3, 1916, in Wayne County,Williams served in the CCC Camp as a young man. He later moved to Washington, La., where he worked as a salesman, antique dealer and businessman. He met and married Lela Bunch Travis Of Waynesboro. He died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Pine View Health Care Center in Waynesboro. Survivors include his wife, Lela; two daughters and sonsin- law, Cecelia and Bill Walker and Elaine and Mike Ellis; a brother, Preston "Bilbo" Williams of Waynesboro; 10 grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren, two greatgreat- grandchildren, a niece and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucy Langley and Jeff Daniel Williams; two sisters, Fannie Williams Langley and Medha Williams Gatlin; a brother, Luther Williams; four half-brothers, Quincy, Emory,Walter and Lloyd Williams; and a daughter, LeJune Wiltcher of Vicksburg.
