She died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at her home. She was a manager of Cracker Barrel Store in Port Vincent and a member of Park Forrest Baptist Church, Baton Rouge. She is survived by her husband, Carroll Shaffer of Walker; two daughters, Debbie Cassels of Denham Springs and Cindy Pierce of Baton Rouge; two sons, Billy Johnson and Donald McGregor Jr., both of Denham Springs; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a foster child, Geraldine Brien; two brothers, Jerry and Troy McKinney, both of Hammond; one half-sister, Sheila McKinney of Kentwood; and her mother, Margaret DeKerlegand of Hammond. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Torres; and her father, George T. McKinney. Greenoaks Funeral Home, Baton Rouge, was in charge.
