    Record Source: in his mother's Will she instructed that on the death of her husband Thomas BOOTH, the rents etc. from all of her real estate, consisting of several Copyhold Lands, Tenements and Hereditaments at West Auckland which had once belonged to her late parents Ralph and Ann FURBANK was to go to her children Ralph BOOTH and Elizabeth KILBURN and their children. To "save any unnecessary trouble after my husband's decease" she left a House and Garden occupied by Thomas DUNN at West Auckland together with a Cow House in the possession of her husband to her grandson Thomas KILBURN on his attaining the age of 21. In the event of Thomas KILBURN not reaching 21 the properties were to go to his brother Ralph KILBURN. In the meantime they were to be enjoyed by her son Ralph BOOTH. After the decease of her husband Thomas BOOTH she instructed that all the residue of her Houses and Lands and a Cow House, all in the possession of Ann CHISMAN were bequeathed to son Ralph BOOTH.

    Record Source: he was assessed for Land Tax on land he occupied at West Auckland - in 1802 this amounted to a total of 4s-1d, which was payable on one plot which he owned, one which was rented from his father, and one other rented plot. By 1828 he was assessed for 6s-3d, on nine plots, most of which had houses on them - he occupied three of these, with a rental value of £11-0s-0d, which were assessed for 3s-8d Tax. The other six plots were rented out for a total of £6-15s-0d, and were assessed for 2s-7d Tax.

    Record Source: the Will of his father was probated, and RALPH was the Executor - the children of Ralph and Elizabeth BOOTH were left £100 to be paid when the youngest of them reached the age of 21. Ralph and Elizabeth BOOTH were bequeathed all the rents and profits from Thomas's estate at Etherley during the minority of their children, after which they were also to receive the rents from his house at Cockerton. They were also to receive all of his ready money, and securities etc, furniture, clothes, Blacksmith's tools, and his stock in trade.
