    '' Another electric leakage

    Driver's Escape

Rubber-soled sandshoes worn by T. Quinn, a milk-carter, saved him from death when his horse dropped dead in Rees Ave, Belmore, yesterday, after it had run into electrified ground surrounding an electricity pole.

Quinn jumped off his cart when the horse collapsed and attempted to undo the harness attached to the horse. As he touched the animal he received a severe electric shock.

Rubber soles on his shoes prevented the completion of the circuit through his horse and he was able to jump free of the danger area, before receiving any further injury..."
