    Record Source: William S. Comstock was born at Mack's Mills, near Tomifobia, townshipof Sta nstead, being a son of the late Charles E. Comstock, who wasengaged in the m ill business there many years ago. William Comstock had, himself, at one tim e and another, conducted a sawmill, gristmill and woolen mill in the same pla ce, and for years thereafter dealt in mill machinery of various kinds. Latte rly he had devoted his attention to real estate and is understood to have had considerable holdings offarm and town property in Saskatchewan. Mr. Comsto ck had been in the East during summer, and returned west a couple of months b efore he died. He was planning on returning in December. He was stricken w ith appoplexy and died five hours later. Mrs. G. W. Pomeroy (formerly Alice Comstock) accompanied the body home from Saskatchewan. The funeral took plac e at home, and the burial was in Griffin Hill Cemetery. ( Griffin Cemetery ).
