The object of keeping on the certificate was because they were looking out for tenants, and with having certificates the property would be more valuable. . . . .It was decided to grant the certificates this year, and next year the applicants would have to tell the justices what they intended doing with the houses".

In the meantime it had been purchased by Mr MYERS, and was now occupied by Joseph GOUNDRY, a nephew of the former Inn-keeper - the licence was granted, provided applicant took possession".
