Chynna Phillips, born on February 12, 1968, is an American singer and actress, known for her role in the pop vocal trio Wilson Phillips. She is the daughter of Mamas & the Papas band members John and Michelle Phillips, and the half-sister of Mackenzie and Bijou Phillips. Phillips began her career in acting and appeared in films such as Some Kind of Wonderful, Caddyshack II, and Say Anything. In 1989, she formed the trio Wilson Phillips with childhood friends Carnie and Wendy Wilson, and the group released their self-titled debut album in 1990, which sold eight million copies. Despite a commercial disappointment with their second album, Shadows and Light, the group continued to release music, including Phillips' debut solo album, Naked and Sacred, in 1995. Phillips has also ventured into film work, voice acting, and reality television, appearing as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars in 2011.
