Born into modest means in Covington, Kentucky, Gillespie left school early and eventually found his calling in music and songwriting. He married Corene Parker in 1909 and began his career as a typesetter, all the while pursuing his passion for music. His breakthrough came in 1925 with the hit "Breezin Along With The Breeze". Haven Jesse Barlow (January 4, 1922 – February 6, 2022) was a prominent American politician and businessman. He served as a Republican member of the Utah House of Representatives from 1952 to 1955 and the Utah State Senate from 1955 to 1994. Barlow was an alumnus of Utah State University and the Harvard Business School, and also a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy. In addition to his political career, he was the president and founder of Barlow Realty and Insurance and served as a director of the Utah Symphony. Notably, Barlow held the position of president of the Utah Senate from 1967 to 1972. In January 2022, he celebrated his 100th birthday, but sadly passed away a month later on February 6, 2022.
