Jarod Palmer

Jarod James Palmer, born on February 10, 1986, is a former professional ice hockey forward known for his time with the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League. Hailing from Fridley, Minnesota, Palmer began his career playing for the USNTDP and later spent two seasons with the Tri-City Storm in the USHL. His collegiate hockey years were spent at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he set a school record by appearing in all 169 games throughout his career. Palmer made his NHL debut with the Wild in 2011 and scored his first NHL goal against the Edmonton Oilers in the same season. Despite suffering a concussion that ended his season prematurely, he re-signed with the Wild for the 2012–13 season before retiring from professional hockey. After his retirement, Palmer transitioned into coaching and was announced as the inaugural head coach of the Sugar Land Imperials of the major junior NA3HL. Off the ice, Palmer holds an interdisciplinary business degree in Entrepreneurship and is married, residing in Minnesota.
