Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer, also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster, was an American serial killer and sex offender. He infamously killed and dismembered seventeen men and boys between 1978 and 1991, with many of his later murders involving necrophilia, cannibalism, and the permanent preservation of body parts. Despite being diagnosed with several mental disorders, Dahmer was found to be legally sane at his trial. He was convicted of fifteen of the sixteen homicides committed in Wisconsin and was sentenced to fifteen terms of life imprisonment. Subsequently, he was given an additional life imprisonment term for a homicide committed in Ohio. Dahmer met his demise on November 28, 1994, when he was beaten to death by a fellow inmate at the Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin.Born on May 21, 1960, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dahmer grew up in an environment of tension and numerous arguments between his parents. His interest in dead animals started at an early age, and he began collecting and preserving their remains. Jeffrey David Sachs, born on November 5, 1954, is an American economist and public policy analyst, currently serving as a professor at Columbia University. He was previously the director of The Earth Institute at Columbia University and has been involved in sustainable development and economic development issues. Sachs is the director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University and also serves as the president of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. He is known as an SDG Advocate for the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Sachs has been a special advisor to the UN Secretary-General from 2001 to 2018, focusing on international objectives to reduce extreme poverty, hunger, and disease.Sachs has advised various countries on economic policy, including Bolivia, and has been involved in advising post-communist economies such as Poland. He has also co-founded the Millennium Promise Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending extreme poverty and hunger. Despite serving almost 13 months in custody, Epstein was arrested again in 2019 on federal charges for the sex trafficking of minors and died in his jail cell before facing trial. His association with British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, who was later convicted on federal charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy, further contributed to his notoriety. Epstein's death precluded the possibility of pursuing criminal charges against him, leading to the dismissal of all criminal charges.
