She began her wrestling career in Mexico with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in 1998, followed by stints in the US independent circuit and Extreme Championship Wrestling. Dumas signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, renamed to WWE in 2002) in 1999, debuting as Lita in 2000. She achieved fame as part of Team Xtreme and later as a heel wrestler, winning the WWF/WWE Women's Championship four times.
