Miwa, stylized as miwa, is a renowned Japanese singer-songwriter, born on June 15, 1990. Her musical journey began with the debut single "Don't Cry Anymore," which served as the theme song for the drama Nakanai to Kimeta Hi in 2010. Hailing from Hayama, Kanagawa, Miwa's passion for music was ignited by her father's love for it. During high school, she taught herself to play the guitar and later sought professional lessons to enhance her skills. Despite the school's prohibition on part-time jobs, she secretly worked to afford a Gibson J-45 guitar. Miwa's talent shone through as she released independent singles and eventually signed with Sony Music Entertainment Japan during her high school years.Her musical prowess flourished as she debuted as an artist in 2010 and continued to achieve commercial success with singles like "Little Girl" and "Change."
