Born to Guru Singh, a rally driver, in Tanzania, Singh moved to Zambia in 1973 and pursued his education at various schools in Lusaka. His motorsport career began in 1987, and he later became a two-time African rally champion in 2004 and 2005, along with being a four-time Zambia National Champion in 2001, 2007, 2009, and 2010.After retiring from active racing, Singh made significant contributions to the motorsport community, serving as the head of the FIA African Region and holding various leadership roles in the Confederation of African Countries in Motorsport. Additionally, he managed a motor workshop and received accolades for his exceptional performance as a rally driver.Tragically, Singh faced health challenges, including liver cirrhosis, and underwent a liver transplant in January 2023. Regrettably, he later succumbed to a heart infection in April 2023. Singh's legacy extends beyond his professional achievements, as he was a dedicated family man and a committed Christian since 2007.
