Njeri Waithaka is a prominent Kenyan lawyer and criminologist known for her significant role as the Director of Safety at the National Transport and Safety Authority of Kenya (NTSA) from January 2016 to February 2019. Born in Kenya, she pursued her education in the United Kingdom, obtaining a Foundation Degree in Policing from De Montfort University and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Keele. Additionally, she holds a Master of Science in Criminology from the University of Leicester and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.Prior to her tenure at NTSA, Waithaka served as the Head of Investigations at the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) where she held a directorial position.
