Rabbi Noach Jaffe of Lechovitch, also known as Der Zon, was a prominent figure in the Hasidic community and a successor to his father, Rabbi Mordechai of Lechovitch. Born in 1775, he was a disciple of Rabbi Boruch of Medzhybizh, a grandson of the Baal Shem Tov. Following his father's passing in 1810, Rabbi Boruch advised him and his brother, Rabbi Michal, on their roles, stating that "Rabbi Noach will lead and Rabbi Michal will assist." Notably, Rabbi Jaffe chose not to speak words of the Torah in public, a departure from his father's teaching style, and explained that he followed in his father's footsteps. He passed away in 1832, and his nephew, Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Perlow of Koidanov, succeeded him as rabbi. His disciple, Rabbi Moshe Polier of Kobryn, established the Kobryn Hasidic dynasty after his death. Rabbi Mordechai Twersky described Jaffe as someone who died out of both love and fear of God and emphasized the importance of unwavering faith. Rabbi Noach Jaffe's legacy continues to inspire and influence the Hasidic community to this day.References:Kleinman, Moshe Chaim (1967). אור ישרים (in Hebrew). Ashdod:
